We took the kids hiking up Ogden Canyon on Saturday. We had planned a really fun hike a little bit further away, but it was supposed to rain so we did a smaller one. It never rained.

We saw a baby rattlesnake on the side of the trail. It coiled up inside a log and had its mouth open.
We talked to some guys on the trail who had seen a bigger one. Brooklyn was really scared. So she got to ride in the baby backpack.
Stopping for a little snack. The highlight for our kids, of course.

fun! looks like a nice day too! that's cool that you saw a snake! i've heard that baby rattlers are actually more dangerous than full size ones because they don't know how to control how much venom they release!
brooklyn looks like a mini-you in your new big blog pic at the top! Curazzy!!
