5 Shots!

Today we took the first step to Zach's long journey of starting school. He had his kindergaren well check up today. He was all geared up to go in there and be as brave as he could be. He did great showing off his ABC skills and his eye test. He even got to wear a pirate eye patch, that was pretty cool. The nurses just kept saying how big he was for only being 4. I know, he's a big kid. The big kid act quickly vanished as soon as the first of five shots was administered. Well, he held out for the first two and then after that he let it all go. It was kind of sad, he was fine once he was given a Darth Vader and Yoda sticker and a lollypop. But look at those mean looking band-aides on those chubby little legs!

NEW JOB!!!!

They did the work on Rice Eccles Statium

I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! Tyson got a new job today. He needed to find an internship/practicum t0 finish out his last two semesters of school. I was getting really nervous about the whole thing because that's just the way that I am. But he got a new job today at a business called KK Mechanical. It will meet the requirements for his internship, but it isn't an internship, it's a real job. No more forklift driving, loading lumber, and coming home smelling like "s". His official title is Project Engineer. He will be working in the office learning new computer programs, doing bids, etc. etc. I am just soo happy because no more Saturday work, better benefits/pay and it can definitely lead into much more after he graduates in December. He starts in two weeks. The company is a commercial company that does all the electrical and plumbing for things like Temples, hotels, event centers, highschools, and whatever. Did I say I was excited? Good job TY!

What is Wrong with this Picture?

The snow of course! Dont' get me wrong, I really do love the snow. And I know that it is still March, so we aren't out of snow weather completely. But come on! Yesterday, I was sitting on Dry grass watching Zach's soccer practice and then we wake up to THIS. I just don't like all these little teases of spring. I am ready to put on my flip flops and let my kids play OUTSIDE

Four Year Old UFC.. I mean Soccer

lookin pretty cool
Doing some sort of soccer dance
the mass that is four year old soccer

Okay, So this spring really has been a lot better than last fall in the soccer department. Even though they have only had two games so far, Zach and Sam seem to have "matured" over the long winter. I have to say that yesterday's game was a lot better than any game they had last fall. Of course Zach and his little buddy just can't keep their hands, legs, arms, and whatever else away from each other, but it has toned down immensely. Zach even scored a goal yesterday!! um, do I have to mention that it was for the other team? But he didn't care. He was thrilled.

Happy Day after Easter!

I didn't get the chance to take a picture yesterday before church, so I bribed my kids with their own easter candy to put their church clothes on this morning.

Camping on the Levan Desert

Zach and Brooklyn after their easter basket hunt in the sage brush. Brooklyn was terrified that we were going to find the easter bunny that left the baskets
All the "kids" with their easter baskets
At an old abandoned farm house somewhere in the desert
Zach practicing shooting skeet with his gun
He had the best time driving his jeep through all of the off road trails in camp
Brooklyn hanging out in her favorite spot in grandmas trailer
Brookie was pretty nervous about the fourwheelers
Nick brought a potty seat and she used it right there in camp
I think she drank almost the whole can of my diet coke, i know, i am a bad mom
We had a blast camping for a couple of days. It was pretty cold but lots of fun, the only downfall was that Tyson couldn't come.

What Jennie Means

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.

You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.

You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

it's kind of hard to see, but Zachs face is terror stricken, he also yelled out at the end of the ride, "I just peed my pants!" which he had, but thankfully he was already wet from splash mountain

yea Peter Pan Zach was not very impressed

He waited all day long to go on the Pirates ride just so we could go into the store afterward. He got a rubber pirate dagger and a gun. He was in heaven

inspired by Diane

Nike Shox. very practical. motivation for me to work out more regularly
Oh, I love these! They will be so cute in the summer with skirts and jeans! Semi-practical
Very impractical. At least for me. They are so very uncomfortable, but I LOVE the way they look on. So dang cute.
