Cravings of a Pregnant Mommy

Lately I have been thinking about all of the different foods that I crave in my pregnancy and it makes me laugh. I have craved different things with each child.

When I was pregnant with Zach I LOVED LOVED LOVED Taco Bell. I seriously could not get enough of that place. Tyson, being the ever loving husband, would go get me Taco Bell at 10 p.m. if that was what I was needing. I remember just before I had Zach, Taco Bell had these Chicken Ceasar grilled stuffed burritos. I seriously consumed so many of those things. They just tasted so good!

I could not, on the other hand, stomach the smell of Roast Beef. I remember going over to Ty's parent's house for sunday dinner and just being so repelled by the smell of a Roast cooking. *(this is in no way, a reflection on Tyson's mother's cooking.)

When I was pregnant with Brooklyn my need for cheeseburgers could not be satisfied. I wanted one on average twice a day. Before that pregnancy, I never even liked McDonalds. However, I would catch myself driving through and grabbing one on many occasions. I didn't limit myself to just McDonalds. I also enjoyed a Wendy's Junior Bacon Cheeseburger. MMMMMM.

This pregnancy, I haven't really craved either Taco Bell or McDonalds. A few months ago I couldn't get enough Slurpees, but that has passed. I crave pickles all the time, which I know, is very common for pregnant women. Why is that? Other than that I plain just crave food. I know that some pregnant women don't use this as an excuse to eat whatever and whenever they want. I do. But guess what? I am almost 6 1/2 months along and I have only gained 8 pounds.

So who wants to buy me lunch????

Wow... only eight pounds, how great is that! I LOVE pickles!!! Especially when I am pregnant. I really wonder why that is? I can't believe how fast your pregnancy is going.

So did you get a house? Have you moved yet?

Be very excited about your prize! I guess I need to figure out what I am going to make:)

I considered pregnancy a license to eat. Even in the middle of the night...toast or cereal.

I wish I could keep the pounds off the way you have! That is awesome.

For me it was McD's hamburgers and pickles the second time around. I ate two jars a week, and since she was born I haven't touched a pickle. Weird.

I'll take you to lunch. Name the day!

I craved ice cream every day. I always have though, pregnant or not. While I was pregnant though with Maddie, I ate a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream every other day for a month. That was a bad month for weight gain. I think it was 7 lbs. that month.
