Confessions of a Twilight Drama Queen....Not me

Beware, you "Twihards" as you like to call yourselves, are heading into the same category as these champs, known as "Trekkies."

Okay seriously, everyone is getting a little too crazy obsessed with this whole Twilight craze. I mean, I read the books, I enjoyed them, but that is where it ended for me. I admit, that I will someday eventually see the movie, but c'mon girls!! This is just about as bad as all those Star Trek nerds going to their conventions wearing their Spock gear. I mean, really you guys all crack me up! I know that I am going to get a lot of hate comments from this post, but if I read one more blog post dedicated to the love and obsession for Edward or any other member I think I will throw up a little in my mouth. I know you are all pretty irate at this point, so bring it on. I can handle it.

Much Love.

(p.s Tyson was the instigator for this post.)

Good on ya J!

Amen sista! Haven't read them or seen it. Seriously, vampire romance...I don't get it.

Now bring on another Phillipa Gregory movie. Maybe The Constant Princess. I'm there!

I wouldn't go so far as to say I am obsessed. C'mon I have a life - ok, I don't - but still...

I have read the books and I did see the movie - BUT I am living my normal life and NOT in constant turmoil because I don't have my own Edward. And I didn't really groove with Robert Patterson as Edward anyway. Now give me a movie staring Gerard Butler and we have something to talk about.

I've already thrown up a little bit in my mouth about this :) I have not read the books nor seen the movie. I thought about reading the books a long time ago, but since this craze it makes me NOT want too. Seriously....thanks for posting this, I dont think I could take one more "I love Edward" post.

Agreed...I even saw the movie and thought "eh" (with a shoulder shrug). It was okay, but I wouldn't go to it twice.

Oh Jennie, It is just so fun to step out of reality for a little bit. I would say that I am not quite the twihard, but I have really enjoyed all of the hype. I have also loved the story and the movie for the entertainment that it is. I think it is healthy every once in a while to be passionate about something. Even if it is just silly and frivolous!

P.S. I shared your post with a few of my friends and we did laugh. ;)

I couldn't agree more!! I think they are all nuts. I didn't read the books nor went to see the movie. Thanks for posting that...it needed to be said!

I hung my head in a little bit of shame when I read your post. Am I a Twihard? I've seen the movie three times (the third time last night with a bunch of girlfriends), and I imagine myself as being Bella...K. You don't have to say it. I'm a nerd.

okay- i am half way with you and half way not! i love the books and didn't go see the midnight showing or anything- i just saw it last week, but i do love them (book and movie) and i am reading the books again- i know i am a geek!

RUDE! I totally have seen the movie 10 times and read the books like a million. I have the movie posters, I even make my husband pretend he is a vampire and call me Bella,(I am so into that!)I even had a t-shirt made that said Future Mrs. Cullens and wore it to the midnight showing. I personally think something is wrong with you! maybe you should go have your head checked. We can't be friends anymore! What so you have to say about that?!
