will's new ride...

Brooklyn thought it would be fun to push a real baby around in her stroller. She got bored of it very quickly, Will on the other hand, was perfectly content.
I think this is Will's new favorite place to sit

Right after I put these pics on my computer, my 3 year old dropped the camera on the tile floor and it is completely broken. That being said, these might be the last pics you see for a while. I am trying to stay calm.......

Will is 4 months..

My sweet little boy turned 4 months old on Sunday. He gets sweeter by the day. Our little family just can't get enough of this baby. I took him to the dr. yesterday and he is doing great. He is 35% for weight and 85% for length, so this little guy is a tall one. I wanted to post a pic of his sweet smile and brown eyes, but he just looked so peaceful sleeping. Did I mention how sweet this baby is?

First Grade has Arrived!!

Yesterday was the big first day of school for this kid. He was completely ready for this day to come. He loved every minute of his first day. School lunch was "the greatest", recess was awesome, and he even has a new little crush! When I dropped him off in his classroom I started to get all teary eyed and Zach was like "K Mom, see ya!"
This little girly gets to start preschool in a couple of weeks. I don't think I will be crying when I drop her off. More like tears of joy for a couple of hours to regroup while she is gone. Is that bad? Am I a horrible mother? Maybe, but this little tyke tests my patience on an hourly basis. That being said, I love her more than I can express.

Plus, the added bonus of being able to buy her new school clothes feeds my need for shopping.

Camping in the Cold

We went camping last weekend on our annual family campout to the Uintahs. It was very very cold this year. It snowed and hailed one morning, and was pretty windy the entire time. We had such a great time. I was so grateful for my mom and dad's trailer that we could hang out in during the cold weather.

This is where Will and his cousins liked to chillax out away from the cold.
Our first night in the tent, aren't I the brave mother? Taking my 3 1/2 month old camping in a tent.
I don't think this canoe ever left dry ground, but the kids had fun playing in it.
The guys, and Kellie, always have their annual skeet shoot. My main man Tyson won the competition. Woo Hoo.
Despite the cold weather, it was beautiful as always.
This is what four days of camping and playing hard will do to you.

I have issues.....

A few posts ago, I put a picture of Zach and his front tooth that he "let" me pull out. His other front tooth has been loose for quite some time and has been driving me crazy. If anybody knows me, they know how much I love to pick at my kids. I am always looking in their ears, noses, hair, and anywhere else, that there might be something to extract. Last night Zach had been wiggling his tooth and it felt pretty loose. I told him to let me pull it out because it was so loose that it would fall out during the night and he would swallow it. That was NOT the truth. I thought one quick, twist and pull would do the trick, it did not. The tooth, in fact, was not as ready as I had originally thought. There was a lot of blood. I should have stopped after the second try, but, being the horrible, mean mother that I am, I could not let it alone. I finally ripped the little sucker out. Lots of blood, tears, screaming, and (if he knew any curse words) there would have been cursing at me too. I felt pretty bad. When I went in to make ammends, I took the teeny little tooth with me and set it on the table in his room. Sometime during my apologies, the tooth fell off the table. The tears started all over again because now the tooth fairy wouldn't even leave him any money!!! I wrote the tooth fairy a note for Zach:
"Dear Tooth Fairy, My mean Mom pulled out my tooth tonight. It hurt really bad. Then she lost the tooth. Will you please still put some money under my pillow?
Love, Zach."

Then Tyson found the tooth.
Zach got a whopping $5.00.
I am mean.
I am banished from ever touching any of his teeth again.

our new favorite "treat"

Once again, Costco has sucked me in.
I discovered these little packets of frozen edamame at Costco. Just stick a little pouch in the microwave for 3 minutes, sprinkle with a little salt, and DEVOUR! They are so full of protein too.
I have been trying to get Brooklyn to eat some for a few days now. She finally ate one today.
Guess what? She loved them!! I absolutely LOVE it when my children like healthy food!

Zach on the other hand, gagged and gagged when he ate one. Well you win some, you lose some. I highly reccomend these tasty little snacks.
