A few posts ago, I put a picture of Zach and his front tooth that he "let" me pull out. His other front tooth has been loose for quite some time and has been driving me crazy. If anybody knows me, they know how much I love to pick at my kids. I am always looking in their ears, noses, hair, and anywhere else, that there might be something to extract. Last night Zach had been wiggling his tooth and it felt pretty loose. I told him to let me pull it out because it was so loose that it would fall out during the night and he would swallow it. That was NOT the truth. I thought one quick, twist and pull would do the trick, it did not. The tooth, in fact, was not as ready as I had originally thought. There was a lot of blood. I should have stopped after the second try, but, being the horrible, mean mother that I am, I could not let it alone. I finally ripped the little sucker out. Lots of blood, tears, screaming, and (if he knew any curse words) there would have been cursing at me too. I felt pretty bad. When I went in to make ammends, I took the teeny little tooth with me and set it on the table in his room. Sometime during my apologies, the tooth fell off the table. The tears started all over again because now the tooth fairy wouldn't even leave him any money!!! I wrote the tooth fairy a note for Zach:
"Dear Tooth Fairy, My mean Mom pulled out my tooth tonight. It hurt really bad. Then she lost the tooth. Will you please still put some money under my pillow?
Love, Zach."
Then Tyson found the tooth.
Zach got a whopping $5.00.
I am mean.
I am banished from ever touching any of his teeth again.
