This Describes me PERFECTLY today...

I have had my share of "klutz" moments today. One involved me kicking a door and actually puncturing the door with my foot. (sorry mom! and tyson, who will NOT be happy about this.) I also spilled hot chocolate all over the counter and myself because the lid to the "cocoamotion" wasn't secured tightly. So awesome.

Did you get what you wanted?

These two did! We had a great Christmas and hope everyone else did too!

Santa's Coming!...I know him!

Merry Christmas Everybody! We have been quoting various lines from this movie all morning long. Even my 3 year old chimes in and says a funny line.

UPGRADE!!!

Woo Hoo! For those of you who haven't heard. Two weeks ago, our sweet(and by that I mean pretty dang junky) 1993 Honda Civic was innocently parked in front of our house. About 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning, I heard a loud crash and then a car horn continuously honking. Some lady plowed into our car. She totalled it out, so we naturally had to go buy a new car with the insurance money we recieved.

So we went and purchased this little beauty last night! I am in love. I am sorry, but I have always loved Audis and this car is soooo nice. Don't worry it's only a 1999, and we didn't spend much at all. But isn't is just cute?

And the best part is, my sweet darling hubby is letting me be the one to use it! Thank you Ty! What a wonderful Christmas gift. Anyhoo, if you can't tell, I am just a little more than excited. And if I really love you, maybe I will take you for a ride in it, it has seat warmers.....

It's been a long day for ALL of us...

This evening we needed to take a quick trip to Costco to buy water softener salt. Brooklyn fell asleep before we had even gotten there.
She stayed asleep on Ty's shoulder all through the store and then we layed her on top of the water softener salt and proceded to wheel her through the store. We had many comments of ooh's and ahhs and some chuckles. One man even asked if he could buy her. HA!
The best part was, she didn't wake up until we got home and then she was really mad because she wanted to go to Costco!!

THAT! was a close one.

This is the aftermath of Brooklyn's very heavy, five drawer dresser falling over. She wanted something off the top of the dresser, so she opened each drawer and climbed to the top, only to have it come crashing over. All I can say is that we are very blessed that she wasn't crushed underneath it. A Very tender mercy!

Hooray for the Light Parade!

Last week we took the kids down to mainstreet to see the light parade.

It was pretty chilly, but they got a big kick out of seeing all the cars and floats decorated and lit up. There was free hot chocolate and cookies and they were passing out candy sticks and chapstick. All very exciting for our kids. The last item in the parade was Santa waving out of a chimney. Zach and Brooklyn got so excited, it was really cute. And the best part was, the parade lasted about 20 minutes!!

Brooklyn is 3 !

Brooklyn turned 3 years old yesterday! It was a very fun day for her and she was such a good girl all day long. For those of you who know Brooklyn very well, this is quite a big deal for her to be good. It has been a long year of the terrible two's and I am just crossing my fingers that #3 will be somewhat better.
She chose Orange chicken and Rice with Broccoli for her birthday dinner.
I gave her my old wooden dollhouse that my Grandpa Reynolds made for me when I was just her age.

The ironing board and iron is also vintage Jennie.

The pretty princess with her totally awesome Mrs. Black cake. (modeled after a stuffed cat named Mrs. Black who used to be a real cat when her uncle Nicky was little. a long story.) But that is the cake she requested.
We had a good day yesterday and I am so thankful for my mostly sweet little girl. I love her so very much and love almsot everyday that I spend with her! We had some big milestones take place this last year which included potty training, moving to a twinsized bed, now sharing a room with her brother, and getting rid of her Binkey!!
Happy Birthday Brooklyn I love you!!

24 Days of Christmas

Tyson's cute mom thought up this idea to do 24 days of christmas for Zach and Brooklyn. She sent this huge box full of sacks for each day and a little toy or prize for them to open every day in December.
As you can see it takes up a nice little piece of their room and they love it.
They come into my room as soon as they wake up every morning and beg for me to come in and take down the bag. It's a good thing they are up so high so the kids can't reach them. Each bag also has candy in it. So that makes for a lovely little 7 a.m. sugar high! Thank you Omaha Grandma and Papa!

Confessions of a Twilight Drama Queen....Not me

Beware, you "Twihards" as you like to call yourselves, are heading into the same category as these champs, known as "Trekkies."

Okay seriously, everyone is getting a little too crazy obsessed with this whole Twilight craze. I mean, I read the books, I enjoyed them, but that is where it ended for me. I admit, that I will someday eventually see the movie, but c'mon girls!! This is just about as bad as all those Star Trek nerds going to their conventions wearing their Spock gear. I mean, really you guys all crack me up! I know that I am going to get a lot of hate comments from this post, but if I read one more blog post dedicated to the love and obsession for Edward or any other member I think I will throw up a little in my mouth. I know you are all pretty irate at this point, so bring it on. I can handle it.

Much Love.

And the Festivities have begun!!

Putting up the Christmas Lights on the Roof!!
He is such a champ. He even let the kids come up on top and hang out with him for just a little bit. They thought it was the COOLEST thing ever to be up on the roof with their Dad.

Later that evening, we decided to take the kids into Temple Square to see the lights. It was a good time. It felt a little too early to be doing this, but it was very fun anyways.

The kids had a blast and I am sure we will be back again before Christmas is over. S0, have a Merry beginning of the Christmas Season!
